Academic Scholarships
PARENTS OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS: It is now time to begin accepting applications for the different scholarships offered by the diocese and the parish.
The Patricia M. Larson Memorial Scholarship, (which was formally called the St. Thomas More Parish Scholarship) is for any high school senior who is registered at St. Thomas More Parish. It will be given to two students for up to four years for as long as the student remains in college. It could also be awarded to someone going to a trade-school or to a two-year college. Because anyone who is going on to further education can apply for this scholarship, winners will be chosen not only from academic achievement, but especially upon their faithfulness to the practice of their Catholic Faith. This scholarship is $1,000.00/year for up to four years.
The Monsignor Doyle Scholarships are also for any high school senior who is registered at St. Thomas More Parish. The number of scholarships is determined by St. Thomas Finance Council. The Scholarships are given only to the first year of someone attending any college or university. Anyone who is going on to further education can apply for this scholarship. Winners will be chosen not only from academic achievement, but especially upon their faithfulness to the practice of their Catholic Faith. This scholarship is for $1,000.00 for one year only.
